A well-known and loved provider of DJ Equipment, Audio, Vision, and Lighting hire; Power Music SVL was formed almost 30 years ago in 1992. And, has been a resident within Claremont for much of that time.

Although recently rebranded to Power Audio Visual, our commitment to great service and a ‘no-attitude’, approach remains the same. Simply, we pride ourselves on being the friendliest bunch in the industry!

I would like to connect my phone wirelessly to the speakers, can I do this?
Let us know you would like to do this, we can provide a Bluetooth receiver with your hire.
Do you sell new or used equipment?
Yes, we have good relations with suppliers so we can get a quote to you. Also, from time to time we sell off second hand equipment from our hire stock.
Do you do delivery, setup and pack-down?
Yes, no problem. Our delivery services are an additional charge but of course we will get that sorted for you.
We have had problems at previous events with audio quality, how can you prevent this from happening?
We take a lot of pride in getting things right for peoples events.

If you can let us know exactly what happened on your event last time, we can advise you on what we would do to solve the issues from your previous event.
Will it all fit in my car?
As long as you don’t show up on a scooter or in the original mini, you should be fine.

If You are concerned let us know your car model and we will try and assess this for you.
Can I connect my phone to the speakers?
Yes you can, we provide a headphone cable that connects into a mixer so you can play tracks off your phone.
How many lights will I require to light up the dance floor?
This Depends on the mood you are trying to create and the style of event.

If you want a colourful, party atmosphere you might want quite a few lights, but if you want a more nightclub, rave vibe, you might just want a couple of FX lights.

Let us know what kind of event you are having and we can advise you appropriately.
Do the speakers come with stands and cables?
All of our packages come with all the cables and hardware you require to make the system work.

However, if you require additional cables as you want to set the equipment up slightly differently, let us know and we will help you out.
Does it come with those cables that look like smiley faces?
Yes they are called XLR cables, they will plug into the back of professional DJ Equipment.

We have all sorts of cables in stock, if you are not sure what you need, take a picture, tell us the model number or bring in the equipment and we will get it sorted for you.
I would like to hire a smoke machine, will this set off the fire alarm?
If you have smoke detectors in the venue, yes it will set off the fire alarm.

You need to get the smoke detectors isolated before you use the machine.
How loud are your speakers, what wattage are they?
Let us knowhow many people are attending your event and we will assess what sort of speakers you will need and now many you will require.

Every situation is different and we want to provide you with honest advice from the information you have given us.It is a common misconception that the more watts a speaker is, the louder it will be.
How can I pay?
You can pay on collection with card or cash. If you have booked a few weeks in advance, we can invoice you and pay by bank transfer or by card over the phone.

If your equipment is to be delivered we require payment 48 hours before delivery.
Am I covered if the equipment is damaged?
Once the equipment leaves the warehouse, it is under your responsibility.

We ask you to treat the equipment with respect as though it were your own. You will pay for any damage or loss to the equipment.
Can you provide us with a raised platform for our DJ?
Yes, we often provide stage hire for DJ's.

We have many different staging hire solutions, varying in size and height.

Give us details about your event and we will give you professional, safe advice.
Do I have to pay a deposit in advance?
Under most circumstances, we do not ask for this, we just require a deposit on collection.

This can be in the form of a copy of a credit card (not debit) or a $200 cash deposit. We require a copy of a current I.D.
What time can I collect my equipment?
Our office hours are between 9am – 5pm weekdays and 9am-12pm on Saturdays.

For weekend hire we ask you to collect Saturday morning and drop back on Monday, you get Sunday free!
If I have any issues with the equipment, will someone be able to help me?
Yes, we can help, give us a call anytime and we can talk it through over the phone. However, if you wish us to come and help at your function, there will be an additional service charge.

Of course, if our equipment is at fault and we will remedy quickly - at no extra charge.
We are having issues at our social club with our installed equipment, can you get someone to come and have a look at it?
Of course, we can get someone to come have a look at your current installation, see if it can be repaired or whether we can provide you with a better solution.
Can you provide an AV Technician or Operator to help onsite at our event?
Yes. We can provide a highly experienced, friendly AV Tech with the appropriate skills to help you at your event.
I am hiring some equipment from you but I am considering hiring a DJ. Can you provide us with a quote for one?
