The ARX Sixgate is a six-channel noise gate that packs a lot of gating into a compact rack unit. With six gates in one box and ultra low noise, it's ideal for gating a drum kit, cutting spill between mics and tightening up your live mix. Hire it in Perth from Power Audio Visual.

A noise gate closes the channel when the signal drops below a set level. On drums, that means each tom or snare mic only opens when that drum is hit, so the kit sounds cleaner and punchier and you get less bleed from cymbals and other instruments. It's also handy for cutting hum and hiss from guitar amps and other noisy sources.

Each gate has its own threshold, release and depth controls, with LEDs to show when the gate is open or closed. The clean, uncluttered layout and a marker panel for labelling each channel make it quick to set up and easy to read in a dark venue.
